IPL Skin Treatment Perth

Using the latest technology from Alma Lasers and the Harmony XL platform, Dr Goldman now offers the Dye-SR handpiece. This allows for the treatment of a number of skin irregularities including pigmentation/melasma, “age spots”, undesirable areas of skin that result in a harsh texture, “broken” veins/spider veins, and rosacea. This is but a few of the areas that this system is able to treat.

Brown spots, broken capillaries and other fallout from photoaging are targets for laser systems that use broadband light to repair these defects. Additionally, facial wrinkles can now be treated non-ablatively.

Using relatively low-energy, short-pulse broadband light, imperfections such as erythema of rosacea, superficial telangiectasia, dyschromia, age spots and other discolored signs of photoaging can be gently heated and eliminated. Patients prefer AFT treatments from Alma Lasers’ Harmony®XL (part of Alma’s consumer-friendly Laser360 procedures) because each treatment is gentle with no downtime.

Key advantages

  • Quick and effective treatment for many signs of ageing, including brown spots, age spots, redness of roseaca, harsh skin texture and broken capillaries
  • Easy treatment to perform with no topical or numbing agents
  • Reduce the signs of ageing with 20-minute procedure
  • The “no downtime” procedure
  • Treatment leads to continued effects over time

Acne

While not suitable for ILP or AFT treatments, Dr Goldman does offer very effective treatment for different stages and types of acne. We offer a combination of radio-frequency utilising Alma Lasers new iPixel hand piece with or without iTED.

What this does is to create “micro-channels” into the skin which results in the remodelling of the skin collagen fibres together with the stimulation of new elements in the skin. In addition, the actual channels are required for the next step iTED. This is “Impact, Trans-Epidermal Delivery” of special cosmaceutical products into these micro-channnels using a special ultrasound probe ( the impact hammer ).

What is IPL Treatment?

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. This uses a broad spectrum or range of light to generate the energy required for the effects we use in the cosmetic industry.

The devices use filters to narrow this broad range of light down to become more effective at targeting the specific features that become undesirable as a result of both ageing and sun exposure, so called photoageing.

AFT is the next generation of intense pulsed light and is the light source in the Alma Laser’s Harmony XL platform that Dr Goldman uses. This more advanced system has additional and specific filters to further narrow down the light so that, in effect, it lies between traditional IPL and laser treatments.

The advanced filters increase the power and control for safer and more effective treatments. Utilising different wavelengths (different light characteristics) the Harmony XL can be used to treat the following:

In addition, the Harmony XL platform with the advanced handpieces have a specific trademarked technology that allows for the continuous movement of the treating handpiece, the so-called InMotionTM technique compared to the “point and shoot” technique.

This results in quicker and more comfortable as well as potentially, fewer treatments.

Finally IPL/AFT can be used alone or combined with other treatments such as radio-frequency and actual laser resulting in more noticeable results for certain conditions and circumstances.
